Red Deer RCMP looking for lotto ticket thief

According to Red Deer RCMP, someone is out there with two trays’ worth of stolen lottery tickets.

Around 8:30 p.m. on May 19, Mounties were called to the Express 24 in Highland Green after a man stole a tray of lotto tickets before fleeing in a silver Pontiac Grand Am. The vehicle was reported stolen the day prior out of Aldersyde.

Police believe the same man is responsible for a similar theft on February 19 at the same location.

On that occasion, the man drove away in a Ford F350 stolen out of Blackfalds. It was recovered a few days later.

The suspect is described as tall, Caucasian, approximately 40 to 50 years old, and in both instances was wearing a ball cap.
