RED DEER- The national jobless rate crept up a notch to 6.6 per cent in May.
But Stats Canada says that’s because more people started looking for work.
The economy added 54,400 jobs last month, adding to several positive labour-market gains since the middle of last year.
The Red Deer area unemployment rate dropped to an even 9% in May from 9.7% in April.
