Thorsby/Breton RCMP were kept busy this past weekend after responding to multiple property crimes, resulting in the arrests of three individuals.

Police responded on June 18 to the call of a suspicious male that was on a property near Sunnybrook who was attempting to steal several trucks. Upon arrival the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle which later turned out to be stolen. Mounties were able to initiate a stop on the vehicle and successfully arrest two individuals and take them into custody.

On the same day RCMP members also responded to a break and enter in the Buck Lake area. Police say due to the property owner of the residence giving them assistance, they managed to arrest a male.

Sameul Lowery,23, is facing charges of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime.

On top of the arrests made Mounties say over the weekend a 2013 Yellow Can-Am Outlander was stolen near Township Road 494 and Range Road 281, and was taken sometime during the morning hours of June 18.

The following day police recieved a report that between the overnight and early morning hours a motor vehicle was stolen on 46th Street in Thorsby. The vehicle is described as a white 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 model, with Alberta license plate #BXM1063.

Police suspect the criminal may have used another vehicle to tow the truck from the property before driving away with it.
