US Border Agency phone scam making the rounds

Another scam to keep an eye out on may be circulating the Rocky Mountain House area.

According to RCMP the incident happened June 15 where a resident in Clearwater County was advising that they had received a phone call on how they owed money to the US Border Agency.

The complainant was immediate to call the US and Canada agencies and they stated that this was not the case.

The matter is under investigation and has been reported to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.

If you receive a suspicious call, email or text, RCMP say not to provide any personal information and to contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
