Thompson returns to USF2000, comes up just short

Red Deer’s favourite race car driver returned to the USF2000 track this past weekend after five straight wins over two weeks in the F1600 Super Series.

Parker Thompson posted two fifth place finishes Saturday and Sunday at Road America in Wisconsin.

Thompson said on Facebook page following the first race, “Considering we were one of the only teams with no test time here at Road America, I am very proud of the crew.” 

The results leave him in 4th place in the USF2000 standings, the same place he began the weekend.

His next event is at the Iowa Speedway July 8 and 9.
