Thankfully, no one was killed in a serious crash Saturday morning south of Ponoka.

The collision on the QE II Highway near the intersection at Highway 604 happened at about 9:45 a.m.

RCMP say a passenger van carrying four occupants blew a tire and lost control, colliding with a dump truck before rolling.

All four of the occupants of the van were treated for injuries, one was transported to Ponoka Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and a child was flown by STARS in serious but non-life threatening condition to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. Two others suffered minor injuries while the driver of the dump truck was not injured.

Traffic was disrupted for several hours as a result of the crash.
