It was anything but a tough test for the Central Alberta Buccaneers in the opening round of the Alberta Football League playoffs.

The Bucs steamrolled the Lloydminster Vandals 79-7 in quarterfinals action Saturday night at MEGlobal Athletic Park in Lacombe.

The win earns the Buccaneers a semifinals date with the Calgary Gators this Saturday in the Stampede City.

Quarterback Judah Knip threw an impressive seven touchdown passes versus Lloydminster, including three connections with Jesse McPhail and two each with Axsaiver Lawrence and Tanner Olstad.
