Rain washes out game two of Sunburst league final, will resume tonight

Aug 15, 2017 | 8:01 AM

Game two of the Sunburst Baseball League got underway Tuesday night at Great Chief Park, but didn’t last long.

Heavy rainfall started early in the first inning and forced a postponement between the Red Deer Riggers and Sherwood Park Athletics.

With runners on first and third with just one out, Sherwood Park was working on a hot start when the game was suspended.

That’s where game two will pick up tonight when they take to Great Chief Park again at 7:30 p.m.
