Man killed in accident at Cremona hay plant

A 63-year-old man has been killed in a workplace accident at a southern Alberta hay plant.

RCMP say the resident of Olds was found dead after emergency crews were called to the plant east of Cremona this morning.

Mounties say a preliminary investigation suggests the victim was fatally injured while operating a piece of equipment.

The man’s death is not considered criminal in nature, and Occupational Health and Safety has taken over the investigation.
