The criminal case for former Innisfail-Sylvan Lake MLA Don MacIntyre has been put over to next month.

MacIntyre was not in attendance Thursday morning as his case was spoken to at the Red Deer Courthouse. The case has been adjourned to April 19 at the Case Management Office.

MacIntyre resigned from the United Conservative Party caucus on Feb. 2, a day after making his first court appearance on charges of sexual assault and sexual interference. He quit his job as MLA on Feb. 5.

The 62-year-old is not currently in custody but has been ordered to not have contact with anyone under the age of 16 without a guardian present. He must also stay at least 100 metres away from any playground, public swimming pool, daycare or school yard and is banned from possessing weapons when away from the property where he is currently residing.
