Motorcycle rider suffers severe injuries in crash near Drayton Valley

Drayton Valley RCMP say one person was taken to hospital with severe injuries after they lost control of their motorcycle Friday afternoon.
The crash happened at 4:40 p.m. on Highway 22 at the North Saskatchewan River bridge.
Police say that the lone male rider of the motorcycle lost control which resulted in him being thrown off the motorcycle.
The man was badly injured and was transported to the University of Alberta hospital in Edmonton by ground ambulance as STARS was unavailable at the time.
