Federal NDP leadership candidates continue to trickle through central Alberta.

On Tuesday, New Westminster-Burnaby MP Peter Julian stopped in Red Deer. He is the third to do so after Niki Ashton and Charlie Angus visited earlier this year.

Annual report shows busy year for Lacombe Police Service

For the Lacombe Police Service, 2016 can be described as a very exciting, albeit very busy year.

In their 2016 Annual Report presented to city council on Monday, LPS reported an 11 per cent increase in service calls over 2015, which is nine per cent higher than the five-year average.

Red Deer city council looks back at Mother Nature's 'hardball'

Red Deer City Councillor Lawrence Lee hit the nail on the head as it relates to last week’s massive windstorm that throttled Red Deer.

“Mother Nature really served us up a hardball,” he said at the start of Monday’s council meeting at City Hall.
