Drayton Valley RCMP weekly report Dec. 27 – Jan. 3

December 27

9:50 am – Drayton Valley, 45 Avenue – Theft – Report of a house being broken into on Christmas Day.  Bank has foreclosed on owner.  3 Industrial ceramic heaters stolen.

11:18 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Avenue – Break and Enter – Report of a break and enter into a seacan in shop yard.  Diesel exhaust system stolen.  

11:59 am – Drayton Valley, 50 Street – Theft from vehicle – Complainant reports light bars were stolen off orange 2015 Kenworth.  Truck was rummaged through as well.  A total of 5 light bars were taken.  Truck was unlocked and parked behind Sign-a-rama. 

7:12 pm – Drayton Valley, Conoco Phillips – Break and enter – Report received of a break and enter to a vacant office building sometime over the past 3 days.  

7:56 pm – Drayton Valley, OCT – Unwanted female – Report of an unwanted female pulling the fire alarms.  Female wearing a pink plaid jacket and sweater.  Members attended and located female and advised her to leave. 

December 28

3:05 am – Drayton Valley, 46 Avenue – Traffic violation – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop on  a White Chevrolet Monte Carlo, when they queried the plate, it came back to a grey Dodge Neon.  Further queries indicate the vehicle not registered and no insurance.  Vehicle towed. Ticket issued.

7:17 am – Drayton Valley – Threats – Report received of threats over facebook.  Matter still under investigation.

10:54 am – Drayton Valley, Western Trailer Court – Break and Enter – Report of a break and enter to residence.  Air conditioner moved to make entry through window.  Place had been rummaged through, several items stolen.

1:28 pm – Brazeau County – Break and Enter – Complainant reports 2 well sites broken into.  Site glass taken.  Approximately $2000 worth of damage.

1:31 pm – Drayton Valley, Meier Avenue – Disturbance – Report of a family dispute.  One male is belligerent and bit their finger.  A fight ensued.  Members attended and spoke with both parties. Neither party wished to pursue charges. 

7:32 pm – Brazeau County – Unwanted male – Report of an unwanted male, causing a disturbance.  Complainant would like them removed.  Members attended and removed male, taken to Calvary Baptiste Church for the night.

December 29

2:41 am – Drayton Valley, Greenwood Trailer Court – Family dispute –  Members called to a family dispute.  Family members are actively fighting.  Members attended, both parties separated for the night.  No charges as neither wishes to pursue same.

2:12 pm – Drayton Valley, Omniplex parking lot – Erratic Driver – Report of a Red and silver Dodge truck stunting in the parking lot. Members attended, however vehicle was gone upon arrival.  Members contacted Registered owner of vehicle and warned them about their manner of driving.

7:24 pm – Brazeau county – Family Dispute – Members called to an issue involving child custody.  One party accusing the other of treating the child unfairly.  Members attended and located child who was fine. 

7:26 PM – Drayton Valley, Econolodge – Unwanted person- Members called to a complaint of an unwanted male.  Members attended and located an intoxicated male who stated he was assaulted by another male.  Members spoke with both parties.  One male was escorted from the property for the night.

December 30

8:48 am – Drayton Valley, Home Away Inn – Theft from vehicle – Complainant reporting theft of ratchet set and other items from the back of a white 2015 GMC pickup. 

8:56 am – Drayton Valley, Legion – Theft from vehicle – Complainant reports someone broke the passenger side window of their 2013 Dodge Ram while parked at the Legion.  Interior was ransacked, unknown if anything taken. 

7:13 pm – Drayton Valley, Omniplex – Robbery – Complainant reports that while sitting in the parking lot a male approached their truck and hit the complainant in the face then took off with their truck.  Suspect got the truck stuck in a snow bank and took off on foot.  Complainants wallet was stolen.

December 31

2:36 pm – Brazeau County – Mischief to Property – Complainant reports that people have been cutting down their fence.  Members attended, likely related to break and enters to Fortis Site. Members will continue to patrol area.

2:52 pm – Drayton Valley, Swimming Pool – Suspicious person – Member requested to attend Drayton Valley Pool due to erratic behaviour being displayed by a male.  Members attended and spoke with male, who left without issue.

4:40 pm – Brazeau county – Theft – Report of theft of mail boxes.  Complainant reporting they observed a light coloured pickup truck with mail boxes in the back.  Members attended, vehicle not located.  Canada Post advised.

4:43 pm – Drayton Valley, 49 Street – Break and Enter – complainant reporting break and enter to rental suite while away for Christmas.  Members attended, Several work electronics and clothing stolen.  Entry gained from the side door to the suite. 

11:16 pm – Drayton Valley, 46 Street – Impaired Driving – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop as vehicle was driving without headlights on.  Male arrested for Impaired driving.

January 1

12:57 am – Drayton Valley, 52 Avenue – Unwanted person – Report of an intoxicated male refusing to leave the Drayton Valley Bar, member attended and located male who agreed to leave in a taxi.

1:13 am – Drayton Valley, 47 Avenue – Suspicious persons – Report of suspicious males who entered a neighbours shed.  Members attended and spoke with suspect.  Advised that the residence belongs to their father and they store their belongings in the shed. 

2:30 am – Drayton Valley, Derrick Lounge – Unwanted person – Request members attended to remove male as they are intoxicated and behaving erratically.  Members attended, male held until sober.

11:45 am – Brazeau County – Abandoned vehicle – complainant reporting a vehicle on  a lease site, heavy front end damage.  Member attended, spoke with registered owner who advised the vehicle had been towed there after hitting a deer.

3:04 pm – Drayton Valley, Derrick Lounge – Assault – Complainant reporting that they were attacked by an unknown female.  Members attended and spoke with the complainant.  Unknown who suspect is.  Matter is still under investigation.

6:26 pm – Brazeau county, Hwy 22 – Impaired driving – Complainant received regarding a blue dodge Journey driving erratically.  Members located vehicle, driver not intoxicated. 

January 2

6:44 am – Cynthia – Suspicious person –  Report of a suspicious male sleeping in their vehicle over night.  Is now out of the vehicle walking around.  Member was en route when advised that the person was their neighbour.  Not suspicious.
