Alberta Concert Band Workshop back for 34th year at RDC

Adult musicians from across Alberta will be attending the 34th annual Adult Concert Band Workshop at Red Deer College from January 18 to 20.

This weekend offers participants full band rehearsals under guest conductors, instrumental displays, and a variety of social activities and networking opportunities. Many of the adults attending this year’s event have also attended nearly all previous adult concert band workshops held at RDC.

Co-sponsored by the Alberta Band Association guest conductors for the weekend are Dr. Chee Meng Low from the University of Lethbridge and Cheryl Ferguson from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Both Chee Meng and Cheryl Ferguson are looking forward to sharing their expertise and experience with our adult musicians.

Culminating the weekend’s activities will be a FREE concert presentation on Sunday, January 20 at 12:30 pm on Mainstage of the Red Deer College Arts Centre. The public is welcome to attend what promises to be an enjoyable concert.
