Red Deer Mounties seize cash, stolen property from Woodlea residence

Charges are pending against two men following the search of a residence in Red Deer’s Woodlea neighbourhood January 7 that resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of cash and stolen property.

Thanks to a tip from the public, RCMP say they were able to seize firearms, ammunition, electronics, solar panels, tools, licence plates and a moped.

Mounties say the search was a joint effort among several RCMP units, including General Duty, the Crime Reduction Team, General Investigation Section, BEAT (downtown unit), with support from the Criminal Intelligence Analysts.

RCMP are expected to announce further details at a future date.
