Women of Excellence Awards nominees announced

The Red Deer & District Community Foundation (RDDCF) is announcing yet another record breaking year for nominees for the Women of Excellence Gala.

This year 56 women are being recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions to Central Alberta. All of the women come from diverse backgrounds, sectors and age groups but are similar in their exceptional contribution to society.

The 12th Annual Women of Excellence Awards Gala is a celebration of innovation, leadership, achievement and talent as demonstrated by women in our community. The awards honor contributions of our nominees, who serve as role models for women and girls. This year a 12th category has been added to the program with the Red Deer Construction Association coming on board to recognize women in the field of construction.

A Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to an exemplary woman, who for many years of her life, has been a role model for the community. Sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada.

The 12th Annual Women of Excellence Awards Gala will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Sheraton Red Deer starting at 6:00 p.m. Award recipients will be announced that evening. Tickets are now on sale for $125.00 each, reserved table of eight for $1,000.00. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketsalberta.com.
